1.SEALED uses expanding injectable polyurethane to fill cracks up to 1/4″ wide in our foundation repair process so that the seal will be able to absorb any additional movement due to settling or movement as a result of the soil conditions.
2. The carbon fiber we now use in foundation repair was first invented in Cleveland, OH in 1958. However, its tremendous strength potential was not established for several years until a reliable manufacturing process was perfected. Now SEALED and other top foundation repair contractors make good use of it for wider and deeper wall cracks.
3. Concrete may harden quickly and achieves 90% of its total strength in about 4 weeks. However, it may continue to strengthen slightly over years and even decades by the conversion of calcium hydroxide into calcium carbonate through the absorption of CO2.
