THINK YOU KNOW POLYURETHANE?  HERE ARE THREE FACTS ABOUT POLYURETHANE AND A CONCRETE JOKE

  1. SEALED uses expanding injectable polyurethane to fill cracks up to 1/4’ wide. We use it in our foundation crack repair process so that the seal will be able to absorb any additional movement.  This can be caused due to settling or movement as a result of the soil conditions.
  1. Polyurethane is a polymer. It belongs to a group of plastics that can be made into both flexible and rigid forms. SEALED techs use various types of expanding, injectable polyurethane when sealing cracks. A common characteristic is that they maintain some flexibility. This allows the polyurethane to absorb some future settling of a home’s foundation walls.
  2. Polyurethanes are often used for sealing and for insulation. The fact that they come in varying viscosities is useful because it makes them the ideal choice for foundation repairs of narrow cracks.  Our choice of viscosities depends on what we find in your basement. After the introduction of polyurethanes o the manufacture of refrigerators, the appliances became 60% more efficient in their use of electricity.

JOKE: A man walks into a bar holding a chunk of concrete. He holds up the concrete and says to the bartender:  “I’ll take one for me and one for the road.”
