Three Concrete Facts and a Word of Wisdom
1. The Tump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago, IL is the largest concrete structure in the world. The 98 story building is over 1,387 feet tall.
2. Do you ever have nasty rust stains on your concrete floors? Just mix unsweetened lemonade Kool-Aid with hot water. Scrub into the stain and it should come right out.
3. The area of your foundation wall adjacent to an I-beam is often a place where damage to the concrete is detected. The reason is that steel and concrete react differently to temperature changes and these varying forces will always crack or shatter the concrete before the steel.
